Chef’s Passport Series

Our fourth esteemed guest chef Daniel Chen, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, is now Cluster Director of Culinary of The St. Regis and W Changsha. Born and raised in Taiwan China, Daniel traveled and learnt different cuisine style including South East Asian, Australian, South Korean, as well as Japanese.

Chef Daniel defines his culinary style as refreshing and innovative, with a strong emphasis on using modern techniques that retain the original flavor of ingredients. He has present notable menus for distinguished guests including artists, political dignitaries and celebrities like famous singer Jay Chou, Lady Gaga.

After work, he is passionate to explore local attractions to seek inspiration for his cuisine design.
